I have had the opportunity to work with OVI Custom Door on two custom projects. The first was a garage door replacement. We wanted a garage door that made a statement and would be complementary to our house style. An OVI Custom Door representative came to the house to assess the situation and understand our goals. The representative was knowledgeable, courteous, and pleasant. During the process, we were given drawings, pictures, and color samples of the proposed door. The OVI Custom Door representative made a second visit to match color samples. Once the door was completed, OVI Custom Door installed the door efficiently and professionally. The door design and construction featured beautiful custom natural cedar wood overlay stained to complement our house exterior.

The second custom project was a unique front door. The main entry door to our home is north-facing and that side of the house gets limited light. To let more light into the house, we would leave the door open using only the screen door. While this worked well in the summer, it was not an option in the winter. We looked at standard door packages from traditional sources and did not find anything that solved the problem. I had an idea of having a well-insulated door with a large windowpane with a separate attached panel that could be opened and closed depending on the time of the day and weather conditions. In essence, a “door on a door.” We brought the idea to OVI Custom Door, and they said they could create a custom door that solved the problem. And they did. We now have a beautiful front door that can be kept shut, with a separate panel that can be opened to let a full doorway of light into the house. As with the garage door, representatives of OVI Custom Door made several trips to our house and provided design drawings, color samples, and hardware selections. The door's exterior is overlayed with rich deep mahogany and is simply gorgeous.

Both the garage and front door look more like fine furniture than doors. Since the installation, we have had countless compliments on the doors. I would highly recommend OVI Custom Door and its custom door design and construction services to anyone.
